The Provincial Council today approved in pre-adoption, on the proposal of Vice-President and Councillor for Culture Francesca Gerosa, a measure concerning the criteria and modalities for the granting of economic subsidies to support interventions on cultural heritage.
"This is a coordinated 'Testo Unico', designed to update the current system of contributions that finances interventions on cultural assets from an organisational and regulatory point of view, e.g. those subject to protection, or those testimonies of culture and tradition that belong to the heritage of our territory, or that concern the structures and functioning of our precious archives and libraries," explained Gerosa. "Following the reorganisation process of the Umst Superintendence for Cultural Assets and Activities, the need has emerged to adapt the discipline to the contemporary economic reality in Trentino, since at the moment the financing system refers to individual sectors, architectural, historical-artistic and library-archival, while a simplification and rationalisation of the procedures and an organic reference for insiders and users is necessary," the vice-president went on to explain. Before final adoption, it is expected to pass through the Fifth Commission.
