Working as an equestrian tourism assistant in the Province of Trento

In order to exercise the profession of equestrian tourism assistant in the Province of Trento, it is necessary to submit a Certified Declaration of Start of Activity (SCIA) to the provincial department responsible for tourism.

There is an obligation to provide insurance cover for third-party liability arising from the performance of the activity.

Equestrian tourism assistants qualified in the Province of Trento, in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano or in other regions and persons who intend to carry out this profession under the regime of establishment and who have obtained recognition of their professional qualification.

Submit the Segnalazione Certificata di Inizio Attività (SCIA) using the attached form, via PEC at serv.turismo@pec.provincia.tn.it.

Those who carry out equestrian activities within the framework of CONI sports federations or clubs and associations of a sporting nature are not obliged to obtain a licence and submit an SCIA.

The following documents must be attached to the SCIA form:
1) 1 passport size/digital format photograph;
2) copy of a valid identity document;
3) duly signed privacy policy (ex Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation No. 679 of 2016).

The Department responsible for tourism issues to all those who have carried out the SCIA a badge with a photograph indicating their personal details and the profession exercised.

The badge must be kept in full view while carrying out the professional activity, and must be returned to the provincial service responsible for tourism if the activity ceases.

The exercise of the activity of equestrian tourism assistant without the relative qualification is punished with a fine ranging from 600 to 1,800 Euro; the same sanction is imposed on anyone who, in the exercise of a business activity, makes use of subjects without the qualification required by law.

Failure to submit the Certified Start-up Report is punishable by a pecuniary administrative sanction of between €100 and €300.

The exercise of the activity in the absence of insurance cover is punished with a pecuniary sanction from 200 to 500 Euro
