Tourism professions

In Trentino, tourism professionals are qualified to guide tourists on visits to the region’s main attractions and are categorised according to their specialisation, based on their respective technical qualifications. The practice of tourism professions is restricted to those who have obtained their qualification by attending specific courses and sitting examinations organised at provincial level. There are currently around 3,500 professionals working in the region, including ski instructors, mountain guides, low-altitude mountain guides and equestrian tourism assistants, as well as around 500 tourist guides and tour leaders.
