These are vocational training courses, some of which offer the opportunity to undertake work placements. In addition to classroom-based learning, there is always a practical workshop component.
The courses lead to the award of certificates recognising the learning outcomes acquired in relation to specific professional roles, which are recognised in the provincial labour market.
The catalogue comprises 79 different types of courses of varying durations (from 8 to 600 hours), developed following an analysis of the needs of Trentino-based businesses across a wide range of professional sectors: from tourism to mechanics, from the performing arts to personal care, from agriculture to commerce.
- 50 courses <150 hours;
- 4 qualification certificates (from 8 to 16 hours);
- 12 courses (>150 hours) without work placement
- 13 courses (>150 hours) with work placement
The catalogue also includes courses leading to specific qualifications (forklift truck licence, HACCP, telescopic handler, tree-climbing).
A participation allowance of €3.50 per hour is provided for all participants in project programmes lasting 70 hours or more, who have attended at least 70 per cent of the total number of classroom/practical sessions and at least 70 per cent of the durationof any work placement, if applicable, and who have obtained a qualification, certification, licence or Certificate of Learning Assessment with a positive final assessment in relation to at least one training module during the learning assessment phase. No attendance allowance is provided for hours completed via distance learning.
Free transport is provided for all courses lasting more than 40 hours, from the participant’s place of residence or domicile to the training venue within the province of Trento.
These courses are funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) – GOL Programme “Workers’ Employability Guarantee”, Mission 5 “Inclusion and Cohesion”, Component 1 “Labour Policies”, Reform 1.1 “Active Labour Market Policies and Training”.
Access to training courses is subject to the outcome of a profiling exercise carried out by a staff member at the Job Centre, which serves to define the user’s profile. Following the profiling process, the individual will be supported by a guidance counsellor in choosing the course best suited to their needs and training requirements.
