Vineyard restructuring and conversion – 2026/2027 programme

The aid is provided from provincial funds pursuant to Article 46 ofProvincial Law No. 4/2003. The aim is to improve the overall performance and sustainability of the farm. As set out in Resolution No. 960 of 25 June 2026, the eligible activities are:

A. varietal conversion, which consists of replanting, on the same or another plot, with or without a change to the training system, a different variety of grapevine deemed to be of greater oenological or commercial value.

B. restructuring, which consists of:

B1. relocating a vineyard by replanting it in a more favourable position from an agronomic point of view, in terms of both exposure and climatic, soil and economic factors;

B2. replanting the vineyard on the same plot, with changes to the training system or planting density. In the event of a change to the training system, only a switch between horizontal and vertical systems is permitted. In the event of a change to the planting density (thickening), the increase in planting density must be at least 20 per cent;

C. the protection of indigenous varieties, consisting of the renewal through the planting of the indigenous varieties Nosiola or Groppello over a minimum area of 1,000 square metres, under the de minimis rule pursuant to Commission Regulation (EU) No 1408/2013, as supplemented by European Commission Regulation (EU) No 2021/3118.

Allocated funds: €1,450,000

Should the resources prove insufficient to fund all applications, a proportional reduction will be applied in order to fund all applications submitted.

The grant is awarded at a rate of 50 per cent of eligible expenditure, defined on the basis of the Standard Tables of Unit Costs (TSCU) applied to vineyard areas measured in accordance with Article 42 of Regulation (EU) 2022/126, exclusively for the actions and expenditure set out in the call for applications, as detailed in paragraph ‘4. Definition of support’ in Annex A toResolution No. 960 of 25 June 2026.

The maximum expenditure eligible for a grant is €100,000, with a maximum grant of €50,000.

Should the project covered by the grant application not be carried out across the entire area requested, beneficiaries are liable to a penalty (paragraph 12 of the call for applications). 

Installations which, upon testing, do not comply with the details set out in the final payment claim are not eligible for aid, resulting in the partial or total cancellation of the project.

The works must include theremoval of existing support structures.

The award of the grant entails an obligation on the part of the beneficiary to ensure that the vineyard remains in use for its intended purpose for at least 10 years, in accordance with the provisions of Article 6 of Provincial Law 4/2003. This period begins on the date of the application for final payment of the grant.

The beneficiaries of the aid are small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in primary production in the wine sector, including:

(a) individual agricultural holdings, as defined by current national and provincial legislation;

b) companies established to manage agricultural enterprises as defined under point (a);

d) agricultural cooperatives and cooperatives for the harvesting, processing and marketing of agricultural products, and their consortia, which are registered in the Register of Cooperatives of the Province of Trento, and agricultural associations provided they are legally constituted;

e) associations of agricultural producers recognised in accordance with the relevant legislation in force.

The following are excluded:

1. undertakings subject to a pending recovery order following a previous Commission decision declaring aid unlawful and incompatible with the internal market; 

2. undertakings in difficulty, as defined in Chapter 2.4, paragraph 33 (63) of the Guidelines; 

3. undertakings which have received an order for compulsory grubbing-up on phytosanitary grounds pursuant to Article 55 bis of Provincial Law 4/2003 and have not complied with the grubbing-up requirement, with reference to the area of land declared in the farm register. Where a breach of phytosanitary measures is established, the payment of the aid (disbursement) shall be suspended until the breached phytosanitary measure has been implemented. Three years after the date of submission of the aid application, the grant shall lapse;  

4. enterprises using authorisations for new plantings issued by the Ministry; 

5. large enterprises, as defined in Chapter 2.4, paragraph 36 of the Guidelines. Large enterprises are those that do not fall within the definition of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) as set out in European Commission Recommendation No 2003/361/EC. An enterprise is defined as ‘large’ if it exceeds the size thresholds for SMEs, that is to say, if it exceeds the size limits set for medium-sized enterprises, employing 250 or more people and having an annual turnover exceeding 50 million euros and/or an annual balance sheet total exceeding 43 million euros.

6. enterprises that have already submitted, for the same areas, an application for payment under the vineyard restructuring and conversion scheme referred to in Article 46 of Provincial Law 4/2003, during the previous three financial years, provided that, following an assessment, those areas were found to be ineligible.

Applications must be submitted via the online procedure available on SRTrento. To do so, the prospective beneficiary may authorise a CAA to act on their behalf.

The application must be digitally signed by the applicant and must contain all the information and attachments required when completing the form.
