Vehicle inspections

The vehicle is subjected to a technical inspection carried out by the Provincial Motor Vehicle Offices or by licensed repair firms.
It can be of three types

1. periodic overhaul year 2025
2. annual overhaul year 2025;
3. extraordinary overhaul on the recommendation of the traffic police for

• restoration of the vehicle in the event of a penalty under Art. 78;
• single overhaul order issued by the authority in the following cases
  • doubts as to the persistence of traffic safety, quietness and anti-pollution requirements (Art. 80 para. 5)
  • accident (Art. 80 para. 7)
  • spot checks on vehicles undergoing overhaul at authorised overhaul centres (Art. 80 para. 10);

The outcome of the revision may be regular, repeat or suspended. Following the "repeat" or "suspended" outcome, the overhaul can be regularised at the same workshop that issued the outcome or at the office of the Civil Motor Vehicle Registration Authority, which will request a new payment via PAGOPA of the amount of EUR 45.

NB: The extraordinary roadworthiness inspection is handled in the same way as an ordinary roadworthiness inspection with special attention paid to the reasons for which it was ordered, but in any case with the performance of all the checks required at the time of the inspection.

The method of booking and payment is as follows:

• proceed with PAGOPA payment ( SPID required) via:

-"the motorist's portal";

- follow PAGOPA instructions;

- the PAGOPA code is T046 "vehicle inspection" (AMBITO TRENTO);

• email the payment receipt toprenotazionerevisionecollaudo@provincia.tn.it taking care to specify the registration number of the vehicle (or vehicles) to be overhauled, personal details, telephone number, any preferences for date and time, morning or afternoon (which will be met within the limits imposed by the information system);
• The office will then send the booking(s) to the applicant's e-mail address with the date and time indicated, which can only be changed for proven needs.

The owner, or his delegate, brings the vehicle to the office of the Civil Vehicle Registration Authority with

• the revision booking form
• the vehicle's technical and circulation documents;
• read instructions for the driver.
