Trentino Silver Card – C.a.T.

The Trentino Silver Card (C.a.T.) is a one-off financial allowance granted to households which, as at 1 January 2026, are in receipt of Quota A and in which all members are aged 65 or over.

The Card enables the eligible household to make purchases from accredited retailers (food shops and pharmacies within the province).

Amount of support

The C.a.T. entitles recipients to aone-off payment of up to 3,600.00 euros, to be used by 30 June 2027. Purchases from accredited retailers may be made, including in combination with one another: there is a maximum limit of €150.00 per transaction.

• Households which, as at 1 January 2026, meet the following criteria:
  - are recipients of Category A of the Provincial Universal Allowance (AUP);
  - have all members aged 65 or over.
     
• Accreditedretailers (food shops and pharmacies within the province). The following types of retailers are eligible for accreditation:
  A) food shops, supermarkets, mini-markets, as well as other commercial enterprises whose activities fall under at least one of the following ATECO codes: 47.11, 47.21, 47.22, 47.23, 47.24;
  B) pharmacies and parapharmacies whose activities fall under at least one of the following ATECO codes: 47.73.10, 47.73.20.
  They must also:
  - not be in any of the circumstances set out in Articles 94 and 95 of Legislative Decree 36/2023;
  - have at least one operational premises within the territory of the Autonomous Province of Trento.

• Eligible households entitled to the Card will receive, during April 2026, a notification from the Provincial Agency for Social Assistance and Supplementary Pensions (APAPI) of the Autonomous Province of Trento, with the Card being issued automatically; this notification will also contain the information required to collect the Card.

• Retailers wishing to participate in the scheme can register via a dedicated online platform using the SPID or CIE credentials of the legal representative or a person specifically delegated by them.

• The beneficiary will receive a notice setting out the documents to be presented when collecting the card.
    
• The merchant must submit an application for accreditation to be included in the List, together with the supporting documents, exclusively via the dedicated online platform. The application is subject to a stamp duty of €16.00 (unless exempt).
