Socially useful work - Submission of applications USERS - Int. 3.3.D

Agenzia del Lavoro encourages the establishment of fixed-term employment relationships through the granting of economic contributions to municipalities, consortia of municipalities, valley communities, A.P.S. and special companies to set up and manage socially useful jobs.

Socially useful works include activities of

• urban and rural beautification, including maintenance activities
• valorisation of cultural and artistic heritage also through the activity of safeguarding, promotion, setting up and safekeeping of exhibitions concerning products, objects and equipment of the territory as well as reorganisation or recovery and valorisation of texts and/or documents of historical or cultural interest
• recovery of material and goods in the framework of activities related to the "Provincial Reuse Network
• reorganisation of current archives and/or recovery of backlogs of technical or administrative work, which do not fall within the scope of the organisation's ordinary administration activities
• custody and surveillance services aimed at improving the usability of sports facilities and equipment, social centres, educational and/or cultural welfare centres managed by the promoting Bodies
• special auxiliary services of a temporary social nature, compatible with the degree of weakness or disadvantage of the worker or special services necessary for the worker's recovery (provided that they do not replace what has already been implemented in the territory)

Projects may have a minimum duration of 4 months and a maximum duration of 10 months, with the exception of multiannual projects of auxiliary services of a social nature whose maximum duration is 24 months.

Socially useful work is aimed at people who meet the following requirements:

• registered on special lists
• who have been resident in the province of Trento for at least five continuous years or for at least 10 years in their lifetime (the last year of which on a continuous basis), or who have been Trentino emigrants registered with Aire for at least three years

and who belong to one of the following categories

• unemployed for more than 6 months, over 50 years of age;
• unemployed persons, over 25 years of age, registered as disabled on the list referred to in Law 68/99;
• unemployed persons, over 25 years of age, reported by the social or health services or by the external criminal enforcement office.
