Who it's for
All private bodies (other than companies) may register with the RUNTS, and in particular:
- voluntary organisations (ODV),
- social promotion associations (APS),
- charitable organisations,
- mutual aid societies that are not required to be registered in the Register of Companies,
- ETS.
Social enterprises, including social cooperatives and mutual aid societies that manage supplementary health funds and whose annual membership fees exceed €50,000, must register in the special section of the Register of Companies (RI).
The application for registration in the RUNTS must be submitted by:
- the organisation’s legal representative,
- The legal representative of the association network to which the organisation belongs (as an alternative to the organisation’s legal representative and acting under the latter’s mandate),
- A notary, if the organisation intends to register whilst simultaneously obtaining legal personality.
