Description
Building on the work of the Mapping Diversityproject, which analyses the presence of women in the street names of many European cities, the workshop will lead boys and girls to take a fresh look at their own territory.
How many streets are named after women? Who are these women? What have they done to be remembered? Can we call them builders of Europe?
Through observation, research and comparison, we will explore the streets around the school and ask ourselves which female figures of the past and present deserve more space in our toponymy.
An opportunity to reflect on memory, citizenship and gender equality, and perhaps to come up with new ideas to make the public space we experience every day more inclusive and representative.
The training modules last two hours.
