Description
The Foundation is named after Antonio Megalizzi, the young journalist who lost his life following the 2018 Strasbourg bombing. Its mission is to give continuity to Antonio's commitment and values: to cultivate his dream of a united Europe, his passion for journalism and the medium of radio, and his desire to promote the active participation of citizens, particularly the youngest.
To spread this message, the Foundation organises civic education initiatives aimed at schools, universities and civil society spaces. The aim is to stimulate critical thinking, constructive confrontation and pluralism, while promoting useful tools and methodologies to counter disinformation.
The activities are carried out by specially trained university students, who conduct educational workshops on the values, history and functioning of European integration and its institutions, as well as on techniques and tools to recognise and combat disinformation, both online and offline.
