Description
This grant is intended for young athletes who have been resident in the province of Trento for at least three years and who have distinguished themselves through sporting and academic achievement during the most recent academic year completed at the time of application, with the aim of contributing towards their education and training costs.
The amount of the scholarship is set at 1,500 euros and is paid in a single instalment. The scholarship may be combined with other grants, scholarships or free places in boarding schools and residential colleges awarded by the Province or by other public bodies or institutions for different purposes.
This grant is provided for under Article 24 of Provincial Law No. 4 of 21 April 2016, ‘Provincial Law on Sport 2016’.
Restrictions

Results achieved in the following events are not taken into account:
a) memorial events, tournaments, trophies or circuits;
b) gatherings, including preparatory ones;
c) city championships;
d) training camps;
e) friendly matches;
f) events organised as part of the Student Games, Euregio and Arge Alp.
Results achieved at meetings are only taken into account if they relate to a competition specifically designated for the awarding of an Italian championship title in a particular category or an overall individual or team title.
Scholarships based on sporting and academic merit achieved during the first stage of education (primary and lower secondary schools) are not awarded.
Only sporting achievements in sports governed by the respective sports federations or associated sports disciplines, recognised by CONI or CIP, are eligible.
The scholarship may be combined with other grants, scholarships or free places in boarding schools and residential colleges awarded by the Province or by other public bodies or institutions for various purposes.
Each student-athlete may receive a maximum of two scholarships per school cycle.
Only the information provided in the application form shall be taken into account; any academic or sporting results not clearly and unambiguously stated in the application form will not be considered.
It is not permitted to supplement the application with new results and/or new evidence of results achieved after the deadline for submitting applications.
Student-athletes who are registered as professionals or who are members of military sports teams by virtue of their profession are not eligible for the scholarship.
