Description
The Rural Development Programme (RDP) is an instrument desired by the European Union to financially support interventions in the agricultural, forestry and environmental fields.
The Autonomous Province of Trento is an active participant in this project, and the Sustainable Development and Protected Areas Service is the body delegated to take care of practices in the environmental sector. The eligible interventions concern ecological connectivity, the safeguarding of biodiversity, the landscape and the public enjoyment of natural assets.
Operation 16.5.1 has the general objective of planning territorial interventions on vast areas of naturalistic interest in order to increase ecological connectivity and biodiversity by involving a large number of subjects.
The operation finances the preparatory and participatory phase as well as the implementation of collective territorial projects aimed at the adoption of management practices to protect fauna and flora and to conserve the traditional agricultural landscape.
