How to obtain recognition as an alpine hut, bivouac, alpine trail and its inclusion in the provincial list of alpine facilities or its eventual cancellation.

Description

The Province maintains a list of alpine facilities, defined as alpine and excursion refuges, bivouacs and alpine trails.

In particular, the use of the name mountain hut is only permitted for mountaineering facilities included in this list.

Restrictions

In the event of a loss of requirements under the regulations, the mountaineering organisation will be removed from the list.

Who it's for

For Alpine refuges and bivouacs

  • the legal representative of companies, associations or public bodies
  • the owner of a sole proprietorship
  • the private citizen

who is the owner of the property.

For alpine trails

  • the legal representative of companies, associations or public bodies
  • the owner of a sole proprietorship

who undertakes to monitor and maintain them and who has obtained the consent of the owners of the land concerned.

What to do

The application for inclusion in the list of mountaineering facilities must be submitted to the Tourism and Sports Service using the appropriate form, complete with the required attachments, and sent to the certified mailbox serv.turismo@pec.provincia.tn.it.

What you need

Documents to be submitted

For alpine refuges

  • technical-descriptive report of the structure also containing verification (on a special form that can be downloaded from the "Forms" section) of the minimum and maximum requirements provided for by the regulations
  • photographic documentation of the location and structure
  • cadastral map extract and chorography indicating the position of the structure;
  • general planimetry showing the buildings, the helicopter landing pad and any cableway station, as well as the urbanisation works
  • plans and sections of the structure on an appropriate scale.

For the bivouacs

  • technical-descriptive report of the structure also containing verification of the structural and functional characteristics required by the regulations
  • photographic documentation of the sites and structure
  • cadastral map extract and chorography indicating the position of the structure;
  • plans and sections of the structure on an appropriate scale.

For Alpine trails

  • descriptive report on the hiking and mountaineering usefulness of the proposed intervention and the characteristics of the route (orographic development, length, difficulty, average walking time, presence of any fixed equipment and local denomination)
  • photographic documentation of the most significant parts of the route
  • chorography showing the development of the route on an appropriate scale.

The deadlines run from the day of the initiation of the procedure by the Tourism and Sport Service.

For mountain huts and bivouacs, the procedure comprises the following steps

  • technical preliminary investigation
  • opinion of the Provincial Conference for Alpine Structures
  • determination by the Director of inclusion in the list of alpine structures or rejection of the application.

For alpine routes the procedure provides for the following phases

  • technical preliminary investigation
  • possible opinion of the Provincial Conference for mountaineering facilities
  • determination by the Director of inclusion in the list of alpine facilities or rejection of the application.

If the deadline is exceeded, the applicant may appeal to the Director General of the Department of Crafts, Commerce, Promotion, Sport and Tourism. Alternatively, he may appeal to the Regional Court of Administrative Justice or to the Civil Court.

In the event of a negative outcome, without prejudice to the possibility of appealing to the competent jurisdictional authority depending on the flaws raised, it is possible to appeal to the President of the Republic within 120 days from the notification of the measure.
