How to enter or modify routes in the provincial network in the list of mountain bike or MTB routes. Identification or modification of bicycle prohibitions on trails.

Description

The Province manages the specific list of routes that form the provincial network of mountain bike trails, for reconnaissance and tourist promotion purposes only, identifying the subjects that must take care of their maintenance and control.

On the trails it also identifies the bans on the circulation of bicycles, in addition to the more general ban on circulation by other mechanical means.

What to do

The request for registration or modification of mountain bike routes and their prohibitions must be submitted to the Tourism and Sports Service using the appropriate form complete with the required attachments, to be sent to the certified mailbox serv.turismo@pec.provincia.tn.it.

What you need

Documents to be submitted

For routes:

  • illustrative report (on a special form downloadable from the "Forms" section) containing
    • brief description of the route with analysis of the main features
    • photographs of the most significant points;
    • summary table of the main data (starting point, arrival point, development and name of the route);
    • any works or interventions necessary to make the route usable;
  • chorography with the development of the route on an appropriate scale;
  • any authorisation from the owners of the land affected by the routes;
  • any agreement or other document proving that the agreement has been reached with the owners.

For prohibitions

  • descriptive report of the bans on cycling, indicating the path involved, accompanied by photographs;
  • chorography with the position of the bans on cycling on an appropriate scale.

The deadlines start on the day following receipt of the application.

For routes

The procedure includes the following stages

  • technical preliminary investigation
  • acquisition of the opinions of the provincial services, the municipalities with territorial competence, the subjects responsible for the control and maintenance of mountain trails and other stakeholders;
  • determination by the Director of registration to the mountain bike route network or rejection of the application.

For bans

The procedure includes the following stages

  • technical preliminary investigation
  • service conference with provincial services, municipalities with territorial competence and subjects responsible for the control and maintenance of mountain trails and other stakeholders;
  • determination by the Director of the prohibition or rejection of the request.

If the deadline is exceeded, the applicant may appeal to the Director General of the Department of Crafts, Commerce, Promotion, Sport and Tourism. Alternatively, he may appeal to the Regional Court of Administrative Justice or to the Civil Court.

In the event of a negative outcome, without prejudice to the possibility of appealing to the competent jurisdictional authority depending on the flaws raised, it is possible to appeal to the President of the Republic within 120 days from the notification of the measure.
