Qualification as a childcare worker in a family-based nursery – Tagesmutter service

The department responsible for childcare services is organising a vocational training programme aimed at 40 prospective new childcare workers who hold a five-year upper secondary school diploma, in accordance with Provincial Council Resolution No. 970/2025 (amending Resolution No. 1891/2003).
Obtaining the professional qualification awarded on completion of this training programme entitles the holder to practise in family-based nurseries within the local system of socio-educational services, as governed by Provincial Law No. 4 of 12 March 2002. This qualification does not qualify the holder for entry into other professional roles.

Applications can only be submitted online once the application period has opened following the announcement of a new training programme by the Provincial Executive

School leavers

Applications may be submitted by prospective teaching staff who hold a five-year upper secondary school diploma

Interested parties must submit their applications exclusively online, within the timeframes and in the manner specified (failure to do so will result in exclusion), to the department responsible for childcare services, which will carry out a preliminary assessment of the applications received in accordance with the criteria set out in the call for applications

Award of the professional qualification as a family day-care provider (Tagesmutter). The qualification is awarded upon attendance of 80% of the training programme (theory and practical training), as recorded in the attendance register, submission of a final project and participation in the concluding plenary session.
