Who it's for

This procedure is aimed at those who wish to register in the Provincial Agricultural Business Register (APIA), but who do not have an appropriate qualification or who have been practising farming for less than three years, even with a subordinate relationship.

In this case, the professional capacity certificate obtained becomes an essential requirement for registration.

What to do

The interested party must

- complete the application form provided, together with a revenue stamp;

- attach a photocopy of his/her identity document;

- indicate the type of crop or livestock farm in which he/she works and on which the application will be made (e.g. fruit growing, horticulture, dairy cow breeding, etc.)

- forward to the PEC box: serv.politichesvilupporurale@pec.provincia.tn.it or hand deliver to the secretariat of the Office for Organic Production - Via Trener, 3 - third floor - Trento

Timeframes and deadlines

Maximum no. of waiting days

The procedure will be concluded within 75 days from the day following the date of submission of the application.

The stages of the procedure include

  • submission to the Administration of the application for an examination-interview session to ascertain professional skills pursuant to Provincial Law no. 11 of 4 September 2000 - Article 23, paragraph 2;
  • convocation to the examination session by the Administration and simultaneous communication of the start of the procedure;
  • conduct of the examination interview by the Commission and recording of the minutes;
  • conclusion of the above procedure, with the adoption of the measure by the Director of the Rural Development Policy Service, of the outcome of the examination interview
CONDUCT OF THE EXAMINATION

The interview examination consists of a test with 20 closed-ended questions and an oral interview.

The test consists of 20 questions, each of which has four answers of which only one is correct. The maximum time available to complete the test is 40 minutes.

To access the oral interview, the candidate must answer at least 12 out of 20 questions correctly.

The examination, taking into account the production address of the enterprise, covers the following subjects (Art. 7 paragraph 6 DPP 17 April 2001, no. 9-60/Leg.)

  • forms of running an agricultural business, company balance sheet, tax aspects relating to the agricultural sector;
  • hints of community, state and provincial agricultural legislation;
  • principles of animal husbandry: feeding, grazing, manure management, main health issues, animal welfare, main health regulations for the production and marketing of milk and dairy products, eggs, meat
  • principles of plant production: fruit and vegetable and vine species and varieties, forms of cultivation, pest control, self-discipline protocols, production quality, product regulations and wine marketing.

NB: There is a common part for all candidates and a specific part for each production direction.

In the event of a negative outcome, the candidate may resubmit the application no earlier than 60 days from the date on which the examination-interview with negative result was taken.

The exam-interview may not be repeated more than three times within a 12-month period.

If the applicant fails to attend the examination-interview, his application will be closed, unless the absence has been notified to theBiological Production Office and adequately justified. In this case, the candidate will be reconvened at the next examination session, but no further postponements will be granted.
