Presentation of projects aimed at promoting students’ academic success

The Notice, approved byProvincial Council Resolution No. 1393 of 6 September 2024, fundseducational projects designed to support pupils in overcoming the difficulties encountered during their schooling due to socio-environmental, cultural, linguistic, family or personal factors, through measures to prevent early school leaving and promote educational success.

Interested parties who meet the requirements set out in paragraph 7 of the Notice may submit proposals for educational projects relating to the following activities:

• Learning support initiatives at different stages of development to foster personal and educational success: measures aimed at pupils enrolled in the first cycle of education, attending a provincial or state-recognised school in the Province of Trento, who are in a situation of educational vulnerability or who have learning difficulties, not necessarily linked to a medical certificate (operation code 2_f6_01a);
• Measures to promote educational success and combat early school leaving: measures aimed at pupils enrolled in upper secondary education, attending a provincial or state-recognised school or training institution in the province of Trento, who are in a situation of educational vulnerability or who have learning difficulties, not necessarily linked to a medical certificate (operation code 2_f6_01b).

The total resources available for funding under this Call for Proposals amount to €2,020,000.00 (of which €808,000.00 constitutes co-financing from the European Union – ESF+, equal to 40 per cent of the total).

The objectives of the project proposals, as set out in paragraph 5.1 of the call for proposals, may be achieved through classroom-based training, workshops or learning support, and must be additional to the standard curriculum.

This initiative is funded under Priority 2 ‘Education and Training’ of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) 2021–2027 Programme of the Autonomous Province of Trento, with co-financing from the European Union, the Italian State and the Autonomous Province of Trento.

Maximum duration and funding

The duration of the project may vary from 30 to 150 hours per person per course.
A maximum of 6 projects aimed at the same provincial or state-recognised school or training institution will be eligible for assessment. The maximum funding that may be awarded for each project proposal upon approval is €40,000. Please refer to the Call for Proposals for further details.

Implementation timeframe
The maximum implementation period is 24 months from the date of the executive decision approving the shortlists.

All organisations, whether public or private, with their registered office in the European Union may participate in this Call for Proposals by submitting project proposals.

Temporary business groupings, consortia and European Economic Interest Groupings (EEIGs) may also participate.

If the project is not submitted directly by a provincial or state-recognised school or training institution, an agreement must be in place – failing which the project will be deemed ineligible – to share the project with at least one provincial or state-recognised school or training institution operating within the territory of the Autonomous Province of Trento, which meets the criteria set out in the individual operations.

Project proposals may be submittedfrom 12.30 pm on Tuesday 10 September 2024 until the deadline of 12.30 pm on Tuesday 22 October 2024, in accordance with the procedures set out in paragraph 10 of the Notice, using the dedicated online system.

The ‘guide to the online procedure’ is available as a tutorial once you have logged into the online system for submitting projects.  

Project proposals must consist of the following documents (forms approved by Resolution No. 9707 dated 10 September 2024):

1. Funding application (Form A):digitally signed by the legal representative or their authorised delegate with signing authority, in accordance with current stamp duty regulations (€16.00); 
2. Project description (Form B): drafted in Italian, with a maximum of 50,000 (fifty thousand) characters and digitally signed by the legal representative or their authorised delegate with signing authority;
3. Financial estimate (Form C): completed in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 6 of the Notice and the ‘ESF+ Implementation Criteria’;
4. General management provisions: digitally signed by the legal representative or their authorised delegate with signing authority;
5. In the case of project proposals submitted by temporary joint ventures (R.T.I.), consortia or European Economic Interest Groupings (G.E.I.E.): a) not yet established: a declaration regarding the temporary joint venture/consortium/European Economic Interest Grouping to be established (Form D) digitally signed by all legal representatives or their delegates with signing authority. b) already established: a copy of the deed of incorporation. In this case, Forms A), B) and C), as well as the General Management Provisions, must be digitally signed by the legal representative of the temporary joint venture, consortium or European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG) or their authorised representative with signing authority.
6. Sharing agreements, where the project is not submitted directly by a provincial or state-recognised educational or training institution.
7. SPIDproxy form for the application for registration.

The documentation will be submitted to the Administration directly online via theIT system.

The online system will issue a receipt showing the date and time the application was submitted.
