Description
Those offering tourist services, excluding transport activities, may sell them, even combining them, by submitting a Certified Declaration of Start of Activity (SCIA).
Restrictions
The exercise of this activity is subject to the following requirements:
- the applicant and the technical director, if different from the applicant, must possess the requisites of honourability established by Resolution of the Provincial Council of GP 2337 of 22 December 2014;
- prior to the commencement of the agency activity, an insurance policy must have been taken out to guarantee the exact fulfilment of the obligations undertaken towards the clients with the travel contract, in relation to the total cost of the services offered.
The ascertainment of the non-existence of the requisites of honourableness, entails the prohibition to continue the activity, while the lack of insurance coverage, the non-payment of the insurance premium by the due date or the failure to transmit the relative documentation within 2 days of the due date, entails the administrative sanction of the payment of a sum of 100 to 300 euros.
If the activity of tourist service producers is exercised without the prior Certified Notification of Commencement of Activity or following the prohibition of its continuation, the administrative sanction of the payment of a sum of between €500.00 and €1,500.00 shall apply; the sanction shall be doubled in the event of recidivism.
The taking over of the marketing of Trentino tourist packages is also subject to a Certified Declaration of Start of Business.
