Description
The Common Market Organisation - CMO wine is the European Union's single set of regulations governing the wine sector, both in terms of production standards and the non-repayable subsidies allocated to companies.
Wine CMO funding is allocated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry (Masaf) and the agricultural departments of the individual Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
The CMO wine promotion on third country markets allocates non-repayable subsidies for expenses related to the promotion of wine abroad, such as participation in trade fairs, tasting in restaurants or simple advertising.
