Notification of use and suitability of ropeways

Ropes used in ropeways in public service must have specific safety characteristics regulated by Executive Order 144 of 18 May 2016. Checks and/or inspections for maintenance must comply with the provisions of the same.

In accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned executive decree, an admissibility report on the condition of the rope used must be submitted periodically to the Ropeway and Ski Slope Service.

In the case of rope replacement, in addition to the admissibility report, the report on recognition and installation and, where applicable, the splicing report and the report on the execution of the fused head must also be submitted.

Technicians in charge and holders of ropeway concessions

The documents, preferably digitally signed, must be sent to the PEC address of the Cableway and Ski Slope Service.

Periodic rope maintenance reporting:

• Admissibility report on the condition of synthetic, cable-carrying and tensioning ropes
• Admissibility Report on the Condition of Carrying Ropes
• Admissibility Report on the Condition of Ballast and Rescue Carrier Ropes

Documentation in the case of rope replacement and/or splicing or splicing head replacement

• Admissibility report on the condition of synthetic, ballast and tensioning ropes
• Admissibility report on the condition of track ropes
• Admissibility report on the condition of ballast and rescue hauling ropes
• Report on recognition and installation of standardised rope
• Report on the recognition and commissioning of individually tested ropes
• Report on recognition and installation of CE-certified rope
• Report of fused head execution
• Rope splicing report
