Internship at the Office for Relations with the European Union in Brussels

The aim of the work placement is to:

1. deepen understanding of the institutions and bodies of the European Union and how they operate;
2. provide an overview of the Provincial Administration’s relations with the institutions and bodies of the European Union;
3. to provide an in-depth understanding of European Union policies and programmes relevant to the Autonomous Province of Trento and to local authorities in the Trentino region.

Each placement lasts six months and takes place during the following periods:

1. from 1 April to 30 September;
2. from 1 October to 31 March.

Each trainee is awarded a total grant of €6,000.00 (six thousand), before statutory deductions. The award of the grant is subject to an attendance rate of at least 85 per cent and a positive assessment of the work carried out.

Applications must be submitted:

From 15 April to 15 May 2026for the internship period from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027

Applications for participation in the selection process may be submitted – on pain of exclusion – by those who, by the deadline for the submission of applications, meet the following requirements:

1. citizenship of a Member State of the European Union;
2. be aged 30 or under;
3. residence in the province of Trento;
4. a three-year degree from any university, whether in Italy or abroad;
5. proficiency in Italian and a good knowledge of English.

A copy of your valid identity document must be attached to the application.

The application must also be accompanied by a covering letter, written in English, in which the candidate explains the reasons for applying.

For academic qualifications obtained abroad, the applicant must – on pain of exclusion – attach to the application a copy of the document(s) certifying that the procedure for obtaining the qualifications has been completed and that they have been recognised as equivalent to the corresponding Italian qualifications, in accordance with Article 38, paragraph 3, of Legislative Decree 165/2001.

Interviews will take place during the month of July, following receipt of an email at least 10 days prior to the interview.
