As from 1 January 2026, access to provincial grants and subsidies by businesses is subject to the stipulation of an insurance policy to cover damage caused by natural disasters and catastrophic events, covering the assets indicated in Article 1, paragraph 101 of Law 213/2023, implemented at provincial level by Resolution of the Provincial Government no. 2114 of 19 December 2025.

The policy must be active at the time of the grant application and maintained for the entire duration of the implementation of the initiative.

Failure to comply with the insurance obligation will result in the rejection of the application.

For details, please refer to the aforementioned resolution, available at the bottom of the page, in the "Documents" section.

Description

The Province, in order to qualify and enhance craftsmanship, grants contributions from 30% to 80% of the eligible expenditure, for the implementation of initiatives of provincial interest with a high degree of relevance from a professional, cultural or training point of view and, in particular, for the following types of initiatives

  1. "handicrafts": events or events qualifying and promoting Trentino handicrafts, enterprises, and handicraft products, or which aim to disseminate in the provincial territory issues concerning handicraft professions, including current or innovative ones, which characterise the world of handicrafts
  2. "youngpeople": initiatives aimed at young people, having as their object promotion, approach to the craft profession or training;
  3. 'mixed': initiatives presenting both of the above characteristics.

The facilitation percentage is determined by the overall score given to the initiative, according to the parameters established by the criteria in force, which must be equal to or higher than 11 points.

These contributions, granted as 'de minimis', cannot be cumulated with other contributions granted by the Province concerning the same expenses within the same initiative. They may, however, be cumulated with direct funding granted by the Province and relating generically to the initiative.

Expenditure directly related to the proposed initiative is eligible; if this expenditure also relates to other activities, in particular to those normally carried out by the applicant or to initiatives other than the one proposed, it must be apportioned between the initiative that is the subject of the application and the other activities or initiatives, and only the part relating to the project may be eligible for aid.

In the case of initiatives that do not relate solely to the craft sector, only the specifically 'craft' part is taken into account.

N.B.: the following text does not replace the rules set out in Provincial Council Decision No 988 of 11 July 2025 below, to which reference should be made for all purposes.

Failing this, the grant shall be reduced by 5% when the grant is paid.

Any change in the date of the initiative must be communicated in advance to the provincial structure responsible for craft trades, in order to allow for the appropriate checks to be carried out. In the absence of such communication, the contribution shall be reduced by 5% at the settlement stage.
