Description
Historic places of commerce are portions of municipal territory, identified by the municipalities through a perimeter operation, affected by the consolidated and widespread presence of commercial settlements, understood as areas traditionally and historically devoted to the purchase or exchange of goods and objects and do not necessarily coincide with the historic centre. The perimeter also takes into account
- the concentration of shops;
- integration between the various merchandise and distribution types;
- diversified and multiple public, craft and service activities;
- the existence of suitable infrastructures, pedestrian areas and car parks.
The Province has set up a mark of recognition of historical trading places, establishing their characteristics and requirements.
The municipality that has carried out the perimeter is to submit an application for recognition and qualification of the historical place of commerce and authorisation to use the relevant mark.
