High school student transport passes

The free circulation season ticket for high school students costs 20 euro and allows students to travel on all public transport in Trentino from 1 September to 31 August.

With this season ticket, students can travel in the period 1 September - 31 August of the following year on all public transport in Trentino.

To obtain the free circulation season ticket, it is necessary to have a smart card.

With the free circulation season ticket, you can use the following transport services

- the urban and suburban services of Trentino Trasporti SpA;

- the Trento-Malè-Marilleva railway;

- the Valsugana Railway between Trento and Primolano;

- the Brenner Railway (*) between Borghetto and Mezzocorona/Ora. The Ora station can only be used for journeys to or from Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa. The ascent/descent stops of Salorno, Magrè/Cortaccia and Egna are excluded (the Ora station only functions as an interchange station to reach Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa);

- the Trento-Sardagna cable car.

*except for long-distance trains (Intercity, Eurocity, Euronight, Frecce di Trenitalia)

The card is issued to students aged 30 and under.

Students attending high schools in the province of Trento can purchase a free circulation season ticket:

The season ticket is also issued to students resident in the province who attend high schools outside the province.

For families with more than 4 children attending schools from pre-school to high school, the season ticket is free of charge from the 4th child onwards, upon presentation of the appropriate self-certification form.

It is possible to request a refund of the season ticket in certain cases: all information is published on the Season Ticket Refund page.

The application may be submitted by:

• Adult student
• Parent or guardian of a minor student

A smart card must be applied for to obtain the free circulation season ticket.

Applying for a smart card during school enrolment

For students attending the first year of high school, the application is made during school enrolment and the application must be submitted to the secondary school attended (by February)

Application for a smart card during the year

In all other cases the application must be presented at the Trentino Trasporti SpA or Trenitalia SpA ticket offices.

Students over the age of 18 must also enclose with the application a declaration that they are not working: self-declaration of transport of upper secondary school students over the age of 18.

After the smart card has been issued

Once the smart card has been issued, the season ticket is paid for and loaded onto it at the same ticket offices.

It is also possible to pay the season ticket via the Trentino Trasporti pagoPA website.

In this case, after making the payment, it is still necessary to go to the ticket office to have the season ticket loaded onto the smart card by presenting the operator with the receipt of the payment made with PagoPA.

Students over 18 years of age must also enclose with their application a declaration that they are not working.
