Description

It is a contribution towards the annual operating costs of the provincial committees and delegations of sports federations, sports promotion bodies and associated sports disciplines; towards the costs of directly organising sporting events; towards technical and organisational consultancy services for affiliated sports associations and clubs; and towards the provision, including through affiliated sports clubs, of competitive specialisation activities.

The grant is awarded at a rate of 70 per cent of eligible expenditure and, in any event, subject to the following limits:
- an amount comprising a fixed sum (7,000 euros for committees, €5,000 for sports bodies, €4,000 for delegations) + an amount based on the number of affiliated sports associations and clubs (€100 for each affiliate) + an amount based on the total eligible expenditure (3 per cent);
- deficit as shown in the final accounts, less any grant received in the previous year if recorded in the accounts in question;
- resources made available.

If the available resources are less than the total of the grants that can be awarded, these are reduced by an equal percentage for all beneficiaries.
