Description

This is a grant to promote and support amateur sporting activities for young athletes aged between 5 years – having reached that age by the registration opening date, as set out in the regulations of the relevant federation, sports promotion body or associated sporting discipline – and 18 years, not having reached by the registration closing date. There is no age limit for athletes with disabilities.

The grant is awarded in the amount determined annually, not exceeding 50 euros, following the Provincial Executive’s first resolution on the allocation of resources for each athlete. The amount is doubled for athletes with disabilities.

The grant is provided for under Article 16(2) of Provincial Law No. 4 of 21 April 2016, ‘Provincial Law on Sport 2016’.

Restrictions

The application for the grant and payment of the subsidy must relate to the most recent completed sporting season. The sporting season is that established by the regulations approved by the relevant sports federation / sports promotion body / associated sports discipline, and may coincide with the calendar year or straddle two years.

The application must relate exclusively to registered athletes who have been involved in amateur sport for no less than 6 consecutive months during the sporting season. Those participating in course-based activities are excluded.

Only athletes who have reached the age of 5 by the registration opening date set out in the federation’s regulations and who have not exceeded the age of 18 by the registration closing date set out in the federation’s regulations are eligible. There is no age limit for athletes with disabilities.

Amateur sports associations and clubs which:
a) are entered in the National Register of Amateur Sporting Activities (RAS);
b) are duly affiliated to national sports federations (FSN) or associated sports disciplines (DSA) or sports promotion bodies (EPS) or meritorious associations (AB) or military sports groups and state corps (GSM) recognised by CONI or CIP;
c) regularly carry out activities throughout the sporting year within the disciplines governed by the FSNs or DSAs, recognised by CONI or CIP;
d) have their registered office within the province;
e) have their own registered members;
f) carry out specific activities within the province aimed at promoting the sport in youth sectors, as defined and regulated by the relevant FSNs or DSAs recognised by CONI or CIP.

Provincial committees, delegations or sections of national sports federations, sports promotion bodies or associated sports disciplines, recognised by CONI or CIP and operating at provincial level in the amateur sector, on behalf of all or some of their affiliated sports associations and clubs.

The application must be signed by the legal representative of the sports organisation.
