Grants for the production of orienteering maps

This is a contribution towards the production of approved orienteering maps or maps designed for educational use and certified by the local committee of the Italian Orienteering Federation, which may be:
a) newly surveyed for sporting events, in which case they must not include sections of existing maps;
b) revisions or extensions of existing maps for sporting events, provided that three years have elapsed since the map’s creation or its last revision;
c) prepared for educational use by sports associations or clubs for projects in collaboration with schools.

Eligible expenses include:
a) preparatory and surveying work;
b) drafting and drawing up the map;
c) approval.

The grant is awarded at a rate of 30 per cent of eligible expenditure and, in any event, subject to a maximum limit of 10,000 euros, the budget deficit and available resources.

Eligible expenditure is calculated up to a limit of:
a) €1,500 per square kilometre of newly surveyed maps;
b) €750 per square kilometre of maps surveyed for updating.

The grant is provided for under Article 15(1)(b) of Provincial Law No. 4 of 21 April 2016, ‘Provincial Law on Sport 2016’.

Grants will be awarded in chronological order of application submission, subject to the availability of funds.

Sports associations and clubs entered in the National Register of Amateur Sports Activities and duly affiliated to a provincial committee or delegation of the national sports federations, to a sports promotion body or to an associated sports discipline.

The application must be signed by the legal representative of the sports organisation.

The grant application must be submitted using the editable form provided by the local authority and sent as a static PDF or JPG file to the certified email addressserv.sport@pec.provincia.tn.it.

1. An application form completed in full, dated and signed.
2. A statement of expenditure incurred and income received, dated and signed.
3. A copy of the invoices, marked as paid, or other documentation of equivalent probative value, relating to all expenditure set out in the statement of accounts.
4. A list of expenditure documents on the provided form, in both PDF and spreadsheet formats.
5. Details of the total area surveyed.
6. A copy of the orienteering map(s) produced, approved and certified by the local committee of the Italian Orienteering Federation.
7. Data protection notice pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation No 679 of 2016, dated and signed.
8. A photocopy of the applicant’s identity document, if the application is signed by hand on a scanned document and not in the presence of the relevant staff member.

Applications for the grant and payment of the subsidy must be submitted:

a)from 1 January to 30 Septemberfor maps for which expenditure was incurred in the same year as the application and, in any event, by 31 August of that year;

b)from 1 January to 30 Aprilof the following year for maps for which the final expenses were incurred in September, October, November and December of the previous year.

Once the grant decision has become enforceable, the grant shall be paid out.
