Description

This is a contribution towards the production of approved orienteering maps or maps designed for educational use and certified by the local committee of the Italian Orienteering Federation, which may be:
a) newly surveyed for sporting events, in which case they must not include sections of existing maps;
b) revisions or extensions of existing maps for sporting events, provided that three years have elapsed since the map’s creation or its last revision;
c) prepared for educational use by sports associations or clubs for projects in collaboration with schools.

Eligible expenses include:
a) preparatory and surveying work;
b) drafting and drawing up the map;
c) approval.

The grant is awarded at a rate of 30 per cent of eligible expenditure and, in any event, subject to a maximum limit of 10,000 euros, the budget deficit and available resources.

Eligible expenditure is calculated up to a limit of:
a) €1,500 per square kilometre of newly surveyed maps;
b) €750 per square kilometre of maps surveyed for updating.

The grant is provided for under Article 15(1)(b) of Provincial Law No. 4 of 21 April 2016, ‘Provincial Law on Sport 2016’.

Restrictions

Grants will be awarded in chronological order of application submission, subject to the availability of funds.

Timeframes and deadlines

Applications for the grant and payment of the subsidy must be submitted:

a)from 1 January to 30 Septemberfor maps for which expenditure was incurred in the same year as the application and, in any event, by 31 August of that year;

b)from 1 January to 30 Aprilof the following year for maps for which the final expenses were incurred in September, October, November and December of the previous year.

The 90-day period allowed for the conclusion of the proceedings begins on the day following the submission of the application. If additional documentation is requested, the time limit for the proceedings is suspended until such documentation is received.

Once the grant decision has become enforceable, the grant shall be paid out.
