Grants for initiatives to prevent damage caused by large carnivores

Support granted by the public administration for the adoption of preventive works to protect livestock and beekeeping to reduce the damage caused by large carnivores (bear, wolf, lynx).

Description

They include free loans and financing. The subject of the grant are electrified multi-wire nets and fences, helicopter boxes and guard dogs. More information can be found at www.grandicarnivori.provincia.tn.it/Comunicazione/FAQ

Restrictions

Only with regard to the provision of helicopter boxes, the application must be submitted by 31 March each year.

Who it's for

Holders of livestock or beekeeping assets, whether VAT-registered or hobbyists.

What to do

Complete the attached form and submit it either by PEC to the Wildlife Service or at one of the Forest Service's peripheral offices (District Forestry Offices or Forestry Stations).

Special cases

As far as preventive works to protect apiaries are concerned, those who keep bee herds in western Trentino alone (west of the Adige river), i.e. the area of permanent presence of the brown bear, are entitled to apply.

From the day after submission of the application (financing).As far as loan agreements are concerned, the application will be processed as soon as possible depending on the availability of the material in stock.

Only with regard to the funding procedure: the Fauna Service sends the applicant a written notice of the start of the procedure, assesses the application, sends a notice of acceptance/denial by means of a Determination of the Manager,
