Businesses operating in the industrial, commercial, craft, hotel and tourism sectors – including mountain huts – and self-employed persons as definedin Article 2222 of the Civil Code are eligible for grants.

Types of expenditure eligible for funding 

Eligible expenditure includes:

  • the reconstruction or repair of immovable property owned by the applicant that has been damaged, destroyed, rendered uninhabitable or unusable, as well as the surrounding areas and main access routes to such property;
  • the replacement or repair of damaged movable property (furniture, vehicles, various items of equipment, etc.). The replacement or repair of building services (electrical systems, heating systems, etc.), where no further work is carried out on the building, is treated as movable property for the purposes of these criteria;
  • compensation for the loss of stock.
 Grant scheme
  • The grant amounts to 90 per cent of the eligible expenditure under the de minimis rule for investments in immovable and movable property and compensation for the loss of stock.
  • Compensation for loss of income during the period 6 August 2022 to 15 August 2022 is equal to 30 per cent of the eligible expenditure under the de minimis rule .
  • Compensation for loss of income is paid ina single instalment following the entry into force of the grant decision.

Recipients of grants and compensation, except in cases of force majeure, must undertake to continue carrying out productive activitieseven if these differ from their previous activities and even if this involves leasing the business – for a period of at least three years from the date on which the grant application was submitted.

Cumulation

The grants and compensation provided for under these criteria may not be combined with other financial assistance granted by public authorities or bodies for the same assets and for the same purposes, nor with the tax deductions provided for renovation and energy-saving measures in respect of works eligible for grants. Where the destroyed or damaged property has already received financial assistance under other provincial laws, replacement or reconstruction under this law is nevertheless permitted.

A statement of expenditure must be submitted within 180 days of the deadline set for completion.
