Grants New Enterprise 2022

This is a non-repayable grant for new entrepreneurs, such as young people, women, unemployed (for more than 6 months), aimed at

• support the creation of new enterprises and to finance their start-up costs;
• encourage the purchase of goods and services in the province, thus creating spin-offs in the province.

Contribution measure

The contribution is determined on the basis of a percentage and with reference to the expenditure considered eligible:

• the minimum expenditure limit is €20,000;
• the maximum expenditure limit is EUR 100,000.

To verify the type of eligible expenses go to point 7 of the Notice(LINK TO NOTICE), and to check the percentage contribution go to point 6 of the Notice (LINK TO NOTICE).

The contribution may be disbursed in one or two instalments (first instalment and final balance), on the basis of the expenses actually incurred and reported.

Training course

Prior to final reporting, the applicant enterprise must participate in a training course of at least 16 hours (attendance equal to at least 75% of the scheduled hours) on topics concerning business strategy and innovation, business financial management, marketing and digital marketing, human resources organisation and circular economy.

Obligations

Access to the grant entails a number of obligations, for a period of at least 5 years from the date of the grant. Check point 11 of the Notice for more information (LINK TO NOTICE).

New entrepreneurs who:

• are owners of the newly established enterprise and who actively and exclusively carry out the management and organisation activities in the role of owner or legal representative or partner, as recorded in the Companies Register;

• fall into at least one of the following categories
  • being a woman
  • be a young person aged between 18 and 35 on the date of setting up the business;
  • be unemployed and have been registered with an employment centre in Italy for at least six months on the date of submission of the application.

Access Requirements

To be eligible for the grant, from the date of submission of the application the enterprise must

• be owned by one or more natural persons and promoted by a start-up entrepreneur
• be established no more than 12 months prior to the date of submission of the application, as shown on the Chamber of Commerce certificate (date indicated in the constituent information - for sole traders the date of the single communication is relevant)
• have an operating unit in Trentino
• have a primary ATECO code falling within the codes listed inANNEX A of the general rules of Provincial Law 6/99 or primary ATECO code 59.14.00 (film projection activity)

• be registered in the Companies Register as from the date of submission of the application
• be a small enterprise, as defined in Annex I to General Exemption Regulation (EU) No 651/2014
• be autonomous within the meaning of European legislation
• not be undergoing bankruptcy proceedings
• not be in difficulty within the meaning of General Exemption Regulation (EU) No 651/2014

Project evaluation criteria

Evaluation of the project submitted will be carried out by the examining body (Trentino Sviluppo S.p.A.). At the end of the evaluation process a ranking list will be drawn up. Check point 9.3 of theNotice(LINK TO NOTICE) for the evaluation criteria.

The application may be submitted by:

• Owner/Legal Representative of the company
• Delegate

Deadlines and application modalities

You may submit, also through your proxy, a single application from 15:00 on 28 April 2022 until 15:00 on 28 July 2022 via the Agorà platform.

To submit the application, you must have the SPID digital identity system.

To access the grant, you will have to submit a project of the initiative, the business plan and the relevant expenses incurred/to be incurred. When submitting the grant application, you will therefore have to submit

• project sheet of the initiative and business plan relating to the start-up phase of the business (in particular, you will have to prepare a provisional profit and loss account and balance sheet for two years)
• statement of expenses incurred and that you intend to incur.

The investigating body, Trentino Sviluppo SpA, is responsible for the preliminary examination procedures.

Deadline for completion

New! By Del. G.P. no. 1717 of 22 September 2023 the deadline for completing the initiative/supporting expenses (as per point 7.1 of the Notice) has been extended by 12 months.

Pre-extension: Expenditure must be incurred from the date of establishment of the new company and within 12 months from the date of the notice of grant award (the date of the expenditure documents is relevant for these deadlines).

Reporting deadline

Eligible expenses must be paid within 6 months from the date of completion of the initiative.

By the same deadline the beneficiary must submit the request for disbursement of the grant (instalment/repayment) using the documents contained in the Forms section.
