Grant for the organisation of summer socio-educational stays

From 1 to 30 April each year it is possible to submit an application for a grant for the implementation of summer holiday activities. The application for the grant must be submitted exclusively by the bodies eligible for the grant at the end of the activities and in any case no later than 30 September each year. By Resolution no. 247 of the Provincial Council dated 20 February 2026, the criteria and procedures for granting the contributions were approved.

Summer centres, which provide daytime activities, and holiday camps or permanent stays, which provide residential activities, are eligible for provincial grants. The activities must be organised in the provincial territory in favour of young people resident in the Province of Trento, who are of nursery school age or of age to attend the first and second cycle of education and training, and under the age of eighteen.

• Summer centres are those which provide daytime activities for at least 5 consecutive days a week (with full-time or part-time attendance of at least 4 hours a day), which may also include a maximum of two overnight stays during the week, with constant daytime assistance and supervision, carried out in a given location and for a stable group of users, organised and managed in the form of collective self-management or by making use of paid workers (employees, occasional self-employed workers, coordinated and continuous collaboration relationships or other similar forms provided for by law);
• Permanent holiday camp s or sojourns (such as campsites), which include activities carried out for at least 7 days and 6 consecutive nights per shift, providing accommodation, food, lodging, assistance and surveillance, carried out in a given location and for a stable group of users, organised and managed in the form of collective self-management or by making use of paid workers (employees, occasional self-employed workers, coordinated and continuous collaboration relationships or other similar forms provided for by law).

The contribution is recognised with reference to the number of children actually present and is differentiated for each type of activity offered as specified below.

Summer centres:

• 8.00 euro for each day of full-time attendance (8 hours);
• 4.00 euro for each day of part-time attendance (4 hours);
• 60.00 euros for each day of attendance for users with disabilities certified pursuant to Law no. 104 of 5 February 1992;

Colonies or permanent stays:

• 10.00 euro for each day of attendance;
• 70.00 euro for each day of attendance for users with disabilities certified according to Law n. 104 of 5 February 1992.

Eligible to apply for the socio-educational stays grant are bodies, associations or other non-profit organisations that have a registered office or operational headquarters in the Province of Trento and meet the requirements indicated.

Procedure:

The procedure for the admission and disbursement of the contribution is briefly described in the following steps:

1. The application for contribution, in compliance with stamp duty, if due, must be submitted from 1 April to 30 April each year through the use of the digital platform "Stanza del cittadino" accessible in the section below named "Login to the service". Access to the web application must be through identification with SPID, CIE, CPS/CNS.
2. Following the submission of the application, within 60 days from the day after the application deadline, the relevant Office of the Agency for Social Cohesion, by its own determination, admits the applications deemed eligible for aid, notifying the interested parties.
3. During the summer period, the organisations will carry out the planned activities in the locations and periods indicated in the application and are required to compile: a register of the daily attendance of users and operators (paper or computer) and, at the end of each shift, a certificate of attendance signed by a parent or guardian (forms in the section below entitled "Documents").
   Important: Any changes in the location and/or period of activity or increase in the number of days of activity, with respect to what is stated in the application, must be communicated in advance before the start date of the activity.
4. Those eligible for a grant must submit, at the end of the activity and in any case by 30 September of each year, the grant application, by accessing the digital platform "Stanza del cittadino". (The grant application will be made available in the platform as soon as possible).
5. The decision to grant the contribution is adopted by the responsible structure within 80 days from the day after the reporting deadline. The decision quantifies the amount for each entity. The payment will be made in a single instalment once the measure has become enforceable.
6. The Structure in charge periodically carries out control activities, including on-the-spot inspections at the place where the activities are carried out, in order to verify that the activity is disbursed in compliance with the criteria.
