Description
The Provincial Law No. 13 of 22 July 2015 'Interventions for the prevention and treatment of gambling addiction' prohibited the placement of gaming machines referred to in Article 110, paragraph 6 of the T.U.L.P.S. at a distance of less than 300 metres from the sensitive places identified by Article 5 of the law:
(a) educational or training establishments of any kind and level;
b) health and hospital facilities, including those dedicated to the reception, care and recovery of persons suffering from any form of addiction or in particular conditions of social distress or who are in any case part of protected categories;
(c) residential or semi-residential facilities operating in the health, education or social welfare fields;
(d) recreational and sports facilities and areas mainly frequented by young people, as well as youth centres or other establishments mainly frequented by young people provided for or financed under Provincial Law no. 5 of 14 February 2007 (Provincial Youth Act 2007)
(e) retirement and senior citizens' clubs provided for or financed pursuant to Provincial Law No 11 of 25 July 2008 (Establishment of the Civil Voluntary Service of the Elderly, Establishment of the Provincial Council of the Third Age and Other Initiatives in Favour of the Elderly)
f) places of worship.
Municipalities and other bodies, businesses, professionals and citizens may submit written or telephone requests for advice to the Crafts and Trade Service - Office for the Support and Promotion of Economic Activities regarding the application of provincial regulations.
