Full-immersion courses in English and German in Europe – summer 2026 – ESF+

By Resolution No. 1590 dated 21 October 2025, the “Call for applications for admission to the overseas mobility programme reserved for students wishing to attend full-immersion English and German language courses in Europe – academic year 2026” was approved.

The initiative offers students the opportunity to take part in athree-week overseas mobilityprogrammeduring the summer of 2026 (indicatively from 14 June to 23 August 2026) in full-immersion English and German language courses organised directly by the University Administration and, provided they meet the requirements, to obtainlanguage certification.

Features of the mobility programme

The mobility programme is organised entirely by the Provincial Administration, which, thanks to funding from the ESF+ Programme 2021–2027, will cover the following costs:

• return travel to and from the overseas location;
• training programme (classroom and outdoor activities – visits, educational activities, etc.);
• full-board accommodation with a host family or in a hall of residence for the entire duration of the mobility programme;
• accompaniment on the outward and return journeys from Italy to the overseas location;
• on-site mentoring service, acting as a point of contact for students;
• insurance covering risks, accidents and third-party liability for the entire duration of the mobility programme;
• language certification.

The language level of the course attended by the participant will be determined by means of an entrance language test carried out at the host institution or at the participant’s home, depending on the arrangements made by the institution. At the end of the programme, the participant will also sit a final test to assess whether they are eligible to take the language certification exam.

On returning from their experience abroad, participants who have attained a certain level of language proficiency must sitthe language certification examin accordance with the procedures to be specified at a later date by the Administration.

Where will the full-immersion courses take place?

The mobility programme will take place in Germany and Austria for German, and in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Malta for English.

How long the duration of the full-immersion courses?

Students admitted to the mobility programme must attend a three-week foreign language course, comprising at least 30 hours per week of full-immersion educational and cultural activities, in accordance with the programme defined by the host organisation, taking into account their initial level of language proficiency.

Applications to join the Mobility Programme may be submitted from 10.00 am on Tuesday 28 October 2025 until 12.00 noon on Thursday 27 November 2025.

Students who meet the following criteria:

1.aged between 14and20 (notyet turned20) as at 31 March 2026;

2.who are resident in the province of Trentoand, during the 2025/2026 academic year, are attending years 1 to 4 of the second cycle of education and training, whether in daytime or evening classes;

or

attending years 1 to 4 of the second cycle of education and training, in either day or evening programmes, in the 2025/2026 academic year at schools or training institutions in Trentino, even if they are resident in other provinces;

3. belonging to a household with an ICEF ‘Family’ indicator for support measures for families with children of 0.63 or less, as shown in the 2024 ICEF Income and Assets Declaration, calculated from 15 September 2025 in accordance with Provincial Council Resolution No. 1256 of 29 August 2025.

To apply for admission, you must:

1. calculation of the ICEF indicator “Family” for measures in favour of families with children must be 0.63 or lower, as determined by the 2024 ICEF Income and Assets Declaration, calculated from 15 September 2025 in accordance with the Provincial Executive’s resolution of 29 August 2025, No. 1256, by the deadline for submitting the application, namely Thursday 27 November 2025. 2. Register and complete the application online in the FSE Web Area – individual grants using your Public Digital Identity System (SPID) credentials (info:https://www.spid.gov.it). The completed application is submitted online to the Administration. Proof of the ICEF indicator does not need to be attached to the application for admission to the overseas mobility programme, as this indicator will be verified automatically by the relevant department following processing. This indicator is required for the purposes of drawing up the ranking lists and determining the co-payment amount.
