Full immersion courses in English and German in Europe - summer 2024

This initiative offers students the opportunity to take part in a three-week mobility programme abroad in the summer (approximately from 16 June to 18 August 2024) organised directly by the Administration and, being eligible, to take part in the language certification.

Features of the mobility programme

The mobility programme is organised entirely by the Provincial Administration which, thanks to the financial resources of the ESF+ Programme 2021-2027, will bear the following costs

• round-trip travel to and from the foreign location;
• training programme (classroom and outdoor activities - visits, educational activities, etc.);
• full-board accommodation in a family or college for the entire duration of the mobility;
• round-trip accompaniment from Italy to the foreign location;
• on-site tutoring service as a reference for students;
• risk, accident and liability insurance for the entire mobility period.

Following agreement with the competent offices of the Polizia di Stato, students without a passport who are admitted for mobility to the United Kingdom will be guaranteed the issue of a passport.

The language level of the course attended by the participant will be identified through a test carried out abroad. At the end of the course, the participant will also take an assessment test.

On returning from the experience abroad, participants with a certain level of language skills will have to take thelanguage certification exam at a certifying body selected by the Administration.

Where will the full immersion courses take place?

The mobility will take place in Germany and Austria for the German language and in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Malta for the English language.

What is the duration of the full immersion courses?

The full immersion courses will last three weeks

Applications for the Mobility Programme can be submitted from 10 a.m. on Thursday 11 January 2024 until 4 p.m. on Tuesday 6 February 2024.

Students with the following characteristics:

1. aged between 14 years and 20 years not completed as at 31 December 2023;

2. resident in the province of Trento and attending classes 1 to 4 of the second cycle of education and training in the 2023/2024 school year;

or

residents in the province of Trento and attending in the 2023/2024 school year classes 1 to 4 of the second cycle of education and training in Trentino schools and training establishments;

3. belonging to a household with ICEF 2023 indicatoras per "Domanda Unica 2024" on income and assets 2022, less than 0.60.

In order to submit an application, it is necessary to:

1) process the ICEF 2023 indicator set out in the "Single Application 2024" (if the household does not already have it);

2) register and fill in the online application in the ESF Web Area - individual interventions with the credentials of the Public Digital Identity System - SPID (info: https://www.spid.gov.it). The completed application is transmitted online to the Administration. The certificate of the ICEF 2023 indicator does not have to be attached to the application for admission to the mobility abroad programme, as this indicator will be checked ex officio by the competent Service following processing. The indicator is necessary for the purposes of drawing up the rankings and determining the participation fee.
