Full immersion courses in English and German in Europe - Summer 2026 - ESF+

By resolution 1590 of 21/10/2025, the "Notice for admission to the mobility abroad programme reserved for students to attend full immersion courses in English and German in Europe - year 2026" was approved.

The initiative offers students the opportunity to take part in a three-week mobility abroad programme to attend full immersion English and German language courses in Europe during the summer of 2026 (approximately from 14 June to 23 August 2026), organised directly by the Administration and, having met the requirements, to take part in the language certification.

Features of the mobility programme

The mobility programme is organised entirely by the Provincial Administration which, thanks to the financial resources of the ESF+ Programme 2021-2027, will bear the following costs

• round-trip travel to and from the foreign location;
• training programme (classroom and outdoor activities - visits, educational activities, etc.);
• full-board accommodation in a family or college for the entire duration of the mobility;
• round-trip accompaniment from Italy to the foreign location;
• on-site tutoring service as a reference for students;
• risk, accident and liability insurance for the entire mobility period;
• language certification.

The linguistic level of the course attended by the participant will be identified through an entry language test carried out at the foreign institute or at home, depending on the mode envisaged by the same. At the end of the course, the participant will also take a final test aimed at verifying the student's suitability for language certification.

Upon returning from the experience abroad, participants with a certain level of language skills will have to take thelanguage certification exam according to the procedures that will be subsequently indicated by the Administration.

Where will the full immersion courses take place?

The mobility will take place in Germany and Austria for the German language and in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Malta for the English language.

What is the duration of the full immersion courses?

Students admitted to the mobility programme must attend a 3-week foreign language course, consisting of at least 30 hours per week of full-immersion training-cultural activities and in any case according to the programme defined by the foreign organisation, in consideration of the level of linguistic knowledge at the entrance.

The application to join the Mobility Programme may be submitted from 10 a.m. on Tuesday 28 October 2025 until 12 noon on Thursday 27 November 2025.

Students with the following characteristics:

1. age between 14 years of age and 20 years of age not completed as at 31 March 2026;

2. Residents in the province of Trento and attending in the 2025/2026 school year classes 1 to 4 of the second cycle of education and training, both daytime and evening;

or

attending in the school year 2025/2026 classes 1 to 4 of the second cycle of education and training, both daytime and evening, in schools or training establishments in the province of Trento, even if they reside in other provinces;

3. belonging to a household with an ICEF "Family" indicator for interventions in favour of families with children equal to or lower than 0.63, resulting from the 2024 ICEF Income and Assets Declaration calculated as of 15 September 2025 in accordance with the Resolution of the Provincial Council no. 1256 of 29 August 2025.

In order to submit an application you must

1. elaboration of the ICEF "Family" indicator for interventions in favour of families with children equal to or less than 0.63 resulting from the ICEF Income and Assets Declaration 2024 calculated as of 15 September 2025 in accordance with Provincial Council Resolution No. 1256 of 29 August 2025 by the application deadline, i.e. Thursday 27 November 2025 . 2. register and fill in the application online in the ESF Web Area - individual interventions with the credentials of the Public Digital Identity System - SPID (info: https://www.spid.gov.it). The completed application is transmitted online to the Administration. The ICEF indicator certificate does not have to be attached to the application for admission to the mobility abroad programme, as this indicator will be checked ex officio by the competent Service after processing. The indicator is necessary for the purposes of drawing up the rankings and determining the participation fee.

Applications for the Mobility Programme may be submitted from 10.00 a.m. on Tuesday 28 October 2025 until 12.00 noon on Thursday 27 November 2025.
