Grants for exhibitions and events for the thematic year of the museums of the Euregio "Tirol - South Tyrol - Trentino" 2025 Financial years 2024-2025P.L. 3 October 2007, No. 15 "Regulation of cultural activities", Article 12

Description

After the positive experience of the Year of Museums of the Euregio 2021 with the motto The Museum Moves, 2025 will once again be the Year of Museums of the three territories - with the aim of networking the museums of the Euregio Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino and raising public awareness of the issues raised by the peasant wars of 1525. In fact, the Year of the Euregio Museums 2025 takes its cue from this event, which marked the history of the three territories, to address, in a museum context, issues related to social justice, crises and upheavals in today's society and how to deal with them, starting from these questions: What are the social tensions and conflicts that characterise the present? What is worth fighting for? Do crises also offer opportunities? How can we achieve a fairer society and ensure sustainable development? What does it mean to have a fulfilling life and how can it be realised by as many people as possible? What contribution can museums make?

The museums of the Euregio Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino are invited to address these and other questions under the motto "Museum.Think Beyond!" and to present exhibition projects for the Year of Euregio Museums 2025 that are linked to their mission. The aim is not only to re-examine the peasant wars from a historical perspective, but also to actualise the inequalities and social challenges that were behind them and to develop perspectives on peaceful coexistence. The aim is to obtain the widest possible participation of the museums of the Euregio, in order to approach the topic from different perspectives and to offer visitors exhibitions, installations, events and other initiatives, hopefully in cooperation between museums and with other cultural, scientific and educational institutions that gravitate around the three territories.
