Equivalence qualification "educator in crèches and supplementary services

The Service verifies, for the purposes of access to the profession of educator in the infant-toddler centres and supplementary services in Trentino, the equivalence of the professional qualification held by applicants in similar professions. The application may be submitted directly by the interested party or, incidentally, as part of a competition procedure.

It is possible to apply at any time, as long as the degree was obtained by 31/08/2015

Citizens in possession of a five-year secondary school diploma in the socio-educational-assistance field (specifically: diploma issued by the socio-psycho-pedagogical high school or equivalent qualifications, diploma of social services technician, diploma of children's community assistant, diploma of community manager, diploma issued by the high school of social sciences or the high school of social and communication sciences) and a certificate issued following a professional training course in professions similar to the educator in crèches and supplementary services.

The application may be submitted by aspiring educators in possession of qualifications in similar professions obtained outside the province.

The application for verification of equivalence is submitted to the competent Children's Service, which assesses it on the basis of the criteria described inattachment A of the Provincial Council resolution no. 1434 of 17/06/2010. The application may be submitted by the person concerned or by the Municipality, which makes the request as part of a competition procedure.

The application may result in the issue of a declaration of equivalence which the person concerned can use to gain access to the profession of day nursery teacher in Trentino. If necessary, the Provincial Administration may suspend the deadline to request additional documentation.

The application may conclude with a declaration of non equivalence because the recognition criteria are not all met at the same time.

The application cannot be concluded by silence assent.

The application may also be submitted incidentally by a municipality as part of a selection or competition procedure. The deadlines remain the same.

The application must be accompanied by a copy of the documentation issued by the professional body/institution from which the qualification was obtained showing the subjects envisaged in the programme of the vocational training course followed, their hourly consistence, as well as the attendance, in addition to the theoretical teaching, of a period of training in services for children aged between 0 and 3 years and the duration thereof.
