Entry on the list of Renewable Energy Communities

The list of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) in the Trentino territory, active as of 1 January 2022, was established with the aim of recording the Energy Communities in a list and coordinating the development of these experiences.

Under the coordination of the Provincial Agency for Water Resources and Energy, the aim is to increase collective knowledge on the subject, network the territory by comparing experiences, interface in a univocal manner with the Ministry, the Energy Regulatory Authority and the Energy Services Manager, and promote innovative project experiences, also thanks to the collaboration with the Consortium of Trentino Municipalities, local research bodies and RSE.

The list is effective as of 1 January 2022 and collects the company data and technical characteristics of the Energy Communities, which will serve as a database to monitor how much these realities are impacting on Trentino's decarbonisation. One of the basic requirements to be included in the list is, in fact, to produce energy from renewable sources.

Registration is required by Energy Communities where energy is generated by plants powered exclusively by renewable sources.

The application can be submitted by the contact person/legal representative of an Energy Community.

The application is made by filling in and sending the prepared form, including the required annexes, to the certified mail address aprie@pec.provincia.tn.it.

The application must indicate

• the identification data of the Energy Community
• the legal form
• the area of operation
• the composition of the Energy Community
• the technical characteristics of the installations and initiatives activated

In addition to the application, the following must be submitted as an attachment

• copy of the identity document of the contact person/legal representative
• certificate of incorporation and/or by-laws of the E.E.C. (including the list of members with an indication of any corporate offices held on the date of the application)
• technical report demonstrating compliance with the requirements set out in Article 18 bis, paragraph 2, of P.L. 4 October 2012 n.20 and the relevant implementing resolution if the Community is not registered on the GSE portal dedicated to production and consumption services (WEB-SPC).
