By Provincial Council Resolution No. 1034 of 18 July 2025, as amended byResolution No. 584 dated 24 April 2026, the Notice for the preparation of a Catalogue of lifelong learning courses for the study of German and English for adults was approved.
The Catalogue offers the opportunity to undertake training courses to develop one’s language skills, choosing between an English language course or a German language course.
The courses on offer are designed to enable learners to progress through the language levels, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), namely:
- from level A1 to A2 (Elementary)
- from level A2 to B1 (Pre-Intermediate or Lower Intermediate)
- from level B1 to B2 (Upper-Intermediate)
- from level B2 to C1 (Advanced)
There are no courses designed to help learners reach level A1 or C2.
Each course lasts 80 hours.
Candidates may choose only one language and the location where they wish to undertake the course by selecting the delivering organisation of their choice from those listed in the table below. The language level will be determined by means of a language proficiency test administered by the delivering organisation.
If a participant already holds a language certificate, they may not enrol on a course at the same level.
Upon completion of the B1, B2 and C1 courses, participants may sit a language certification exam administered by internationally accredited certification bodies.
