As from 16 May 2026, for the purposes of road traffic, it will be compulsory for owners of electric scooters to carry a special identification sticker.
The code of the sticker is associated with the natural or legal person who has applied for its issue and is strictly personal and non-transferable.

What to do
To submit the application it is necessary to
pay the N174 fee on PagoPa. In the case of a request for the issuance of several identity badges, it is possible to submit a cumulative application;
access the Portale dell'Automobilista system(click here for the link) through SPID or CIE, "Servizi Online" and "Gestione Pratiche Online", select the "RILASCIO CONTRASSEGNO MONOPATTINI" application, upload the following documents
photocopy of a valid identification document of the holder. In the case of non-EU citizens: copy of residence permit or long-stay card;
if the applicant is a legal person: declaration in lieu of registration with the Chamber of Commerce (or a photocopy of the articles of association) showing the company's tax code, name and registered office. Photocopy of the legal representative's identity card;
if the applicant is a minor, the application must be submitted and signed by the person exercising parental responsibility over the minor, enclosing a photocopy of his or her identity document;
select the Trento UMC for collection;
transmit the application;
wait for the confirmation email for the appointment to collect the parking card;
go back to 'Gestione Pratiche Online', in the 'My requests' section, reopen the file you have submitted and book an appointment to collect the parking card at the UMC indicated in the application.
Present yourself at the chosen MCO at the pre-arranged time to collect the parking card with the booking receipt issued by the system. At that time, the applicant must provide the identity document used when submitting the application to allow the operator to carry out the relevant checks. Once the necessary verifications and matching procedures have been completed, the operator hands over the required parking cards to the applicant.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CORRECT APPLICATION OF THE MARKER ON THE SCOOTER
The mark must be applied to a previously clean and dry surface, identified on the rear mudguard, where there is a special slot, or on the steering column in the absence of the same, taking care to comply with the instructions on the correct removal from the silicon-coated support, on the application methods and on the time required to guarantee adequate adhesion. It is recommended to scrupulously follow the indications provided in order to avoid damage to the mark and ensure compliance with the requirements of visibility, integrity and non-tampering as provided for by the regulations in force.
