This is a grant awarded to the committees, delegations or provincial branches of sports federations, associated sports disciplines and sports promotion bodies recognised by CONI or CIP and operating at provincial level in the amateur sports sector, to cover the costs incurred by their affiliated sports associations and clubs for compulsory and supplementary accident insurance for athletes under the age of 25 (with no age limit if they have a disability), as well as coaches and sports managers.
The grant is awarded at 100 per cent of eligible expenditure and, in any event, subject to the availability of funds.
If the available resources are less than the total amount of grants that can be awarded, these are reduced by the same percentage for all beneficiaries.
This grant is provided for under Article 37(2) of Provincial Law No. 4 of 21 April 2016, ‘Provincial Law on Sport 2016’.
The sporting season is that laid down in the regulations approved by each relevant sports federation, sports promotion body or associated sporting discipline, and may coincide with the calendar year or span two years.
For supplementary insurance, a maximum expenditure of 30 euros is permitted for each coach and manager and for each athlete under the age of 25. For athletes with disabilities, there are no age limits.
