Contribution for the purchase of machines and equipment for fodder farming

  • Active

Criteria and procedures for obtaining aid for the purchase of forage-growing machinery and equipment

Description

This type of aid is specific and in support of the livestock and crop production sector: the intervention was adopted to support the cultivation of permanent meadows in mountain areas at high altitudes, where mowing ensures the fodder base necessary for the cattle's food ration, contributes to the maintenance and protection of the territory, to the prevention/limitation of depopulation and is a fundamental component for the upkeep of the landscape.

By supporting the purchase of technologically advanced haymaking machinery and equipment, the initiative aims to improve the overall performance and sustainability of provincial farms. The aid encourages the adaptation of production to the needs of the market and the vocation of mountain areas, while guaranteeing greater security for operators and the preservation of the natural landscape, an element of identity and the driving force behind the local tourist economy.

This aid cannot be combined with other public aid for the same initiative.

Aid will be granted in the form of capital grants.

Below are indications ofeligibility

- minimum amount euro 7,000.00 excluding VAT

- maximum amount euro 40,000.00 excluding VAT.

The maximum aid intensity is 50%.

Only one application may be submitted, which may contain several initiatives eligible for funding.

Only the purchase of brand new machinery and equipment intended for forage growing (haymaking) is eligible for funding, up to a limit of one machine or piece of equipment of each type and of the value indicated in the annex.
Eligible expenditure categories include:

  • Agricultural machinery: Motor mowers with mechanical or hydrostatic transmission, provided they have a minimum power of 8 hp.
  • Specialised equipment: Hay-pushing rakes (also with pick up and multi twister belt) and specialised wheels for working on slopes (e.g. spiked, clawed or twin wheels).
  • Accessories: Any accessories relating to the machines or equipment purchased

Only expenditure incurred after the aid application has been submitted is eligible; commencement of work or legal commitments (such as orders) prior to the application renders the entire initiative ineligible.

The purchase must take place exclusively in ownership. Leasing financing is not allowed.
