Description
The Common Market Organisation (CMO) for wine is the European Union’s single regulatory framework that sets out certain rules governing the wine sector, covering both production standards and non-repayable grants awarded to wine-producing businesses.
Funding under the CMO for Wine is allocated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry (MASAF) and by the departments for agriculture of the individual regions and autonomous provinces.
The CMO for Wine’s promotion scheme for third-country markets awards non-repayable grants to cover expenses relating to the promotion of wine abroad, such as participation in trade fairs, wine tastings in restaurants or simple advertising.
