Description
The application for verification of technical fire-fighting suitability is submitted by Companies, Entities or individuals to the Permanent Fire Brigade Corps, in order to enrol the personnel appointed to the role of fire-fighting officer in the examination to obtain the certificate of technical suitability referred to in Article 3 of Decree-Law No. 512 of 01/10/1996.
Paragraph 2 of Article 5 of Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021 in fact provides that workers in charge of implementing fire prevention, firefighting and emergency management measures require this certificate if they work in workplaces characterised by high fire risk. The list of subject activities can be found in Annex IV of Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021.
The attestation of technical suitability is linked to the level of fire training. Pursuant to the Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021, there is therefore a technical suitability linked to level 2-FOR training (formerly medium risk of the Ministerial Decree of 10 March 1998) as distinct from level 3-FOR technical suitability (formerly high risk of the Ministerial Decree of 10 March 1998).
Restrictions
Prerequisites of the identified personnel being enrolled in the examination are:
- possession of psychophysical suitability to sit the examination;
- to work in premises located in the Autonomous Province of Trento;
- be in possession of insurance cover for possible accidents during the scheduled practical tests;
- be in possession of the training envisaged by the technical regulations in force for fire-fighting service operators pursuant to Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021 (compulsory updating at least every five years). In detail, the registered person must enclose with the application the certificates proving possession of valid level 2 or level 3 fire-fighting training (first training or update) (the date on the certificate will be taken as proof).
