Application for University of Trento scholarships for people of Trentino descent

Here is what the project involves:

• an annual scholarship of:
  - €7,250.00 per year (for students resident in NON-EUROPEAN COUNTRIES)
  - €6,700.00 (for students residing in EUROPEAN COUNTRIES);
• accommodation at a facility run by the Opera Universitaria in Trento
• exemption from university fees
• reimbursement of the cost of registration with the S.S.N. (National Health Service) 

The scholarship covers the standard duration of the degree programme plus an additional semester whilst awaiting graduation. It may be renewed annually in accordance with the merit-based criteria set out in the call for applications, with effect from 1 October each year. 

To apply for renewal of a scholarship already awarded for previous academic years, please use the form attached below.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, a total of 5 scholarships have been advertised, broken down as follows:

• 2 scholarships for first-level degree programmes/Bachelor’s degrees (3-year duration – first cycle)
• 3 scholarships for Master’s degree programmes (duration: 2 years – second cycle)

The following are eligible to apply: 
a) descendants of emigrants from Trentino who are resident abroad; 
b) those who have been admitted to one of the first- or second-cycle degree programmes at the University of Trento

2. send the completed and signed application form, together with the required attachments (see the ‘documents to be submitted’ section), in PDF or JPG format to the certified email (PEC) address

Annualrenewal of scholarships

Toapply for the renewalof a scholarship already awarded for previous academic years, please use the attached form

Please attach the following documents (in PDF or JPG format) to your application:

1. a copy of your passport or identity document;
2. a CV in Europass format (see https://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/);
3. a short essay – at least 3,000 characters including spaces – in Italian or English in which the candidate explains their choice;
4. any additional internationally recognised certificates relating to IT and language skills;
5. documentation confirming a successful preliminary assessment (or admission following selection via a call for applications) or documentation confirming that a request has been made for a preliminary assessment/selection for admission to the chosen degree programme;
6. any documentation attesting to a situation of severe financial hardship affecting the applicant and their household;
7. privacy notice.
