Accreditation enables public and private non-profit organisations to provide educational inclusion services for pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in schools within the Autonomous Province of Trento. The procedure is completed within 60 days of the deadline for submitting applications and is managed by the Education Service in accordance with Provincial Law No. 23 of 30 November 1992. The outcome is formalised by a decision of the Head of the Service.

Duration of accreditation

New accreditations are valid from the date of approval of the relevant decision until 31 August of the year following that in which the accreditation takes effect, as established by Provincial Council Resolution No. 380/2026. For accreditations due to expire, the provisions of General Council Resolution No. 540/2020 apply, with the obligation to submit the annual declaration of continued compliance with requirements (Ministerial Decree No. 17-124/Leg of 8 May 2008).

Register of Accredited Entities

This is the list of organisations authorised to provide services for the educational inclusion of pupils with special educational needs (SEN). Inclusion in the register is a necessary requirement for schools to award contracts for these services on a regular basis.    

Who it's for

Public and private non-profit organisations that meet the following requirements may apply for accreditation:

  • provision in their articles of association or memorandum of association for support for students with special educational needs
  • at least two years’ experience in the sector
  • non-profit status
  • compliance with national and provincial legislation on employment and social security
  • no insolvency proceedings (bankruptcy, liquidation, administration, composition with creditors or equivalent)
  • directors must meet requirements regarding good character and reliability
  • availability of a technical and scientific team with at least two years’ experience in supporting students with special educational needs

What to do

The BES accreditation application must be completed, signed and submitted to the Education Service between 1 and 30 April 2026, using one of the following methods:

  • Certified email (PEC): serv.istruzione@pec.provincia.tn.it
  • in person at the Education Service (6th floor, Via Gilli 3, 38121 Trento)
  • delivery to the decentralised offices of the Autonomous Province of Trento
