Simest, a CDP Group company, has launched a new subsidised financing facility to support the internationalisation of Italian companies in Central and South America. The initiative, implemented in cooperation with Farnesina, aims to strengthen the competitiveness of Italian companies with strategic interests in the area by supporting investments in production, trade, assets, and technological, digital, and ecological innovation. The funding is intended for companies that intend to invest in the region or that are already present, exporting or regularly sourcing and collaborating with local businesses.
Eligible expenses include those for capital strengthening, share capital increase and shareholder financing of subsidiaries, as well as investment-related operating expenses. Also included are costs for personnel training, travel, entry and regularisation costs for recruitment in Italy, and employment contracts for the placement of personnel from Central or South America.
