The Autonomous Province of Trento has approved the Third Biennial Monitoring Report drawn up in 2026 (Resolution No. 8895 of 12 August 2026).
As set out in the Environmental Report of the Provincial Energy and Environment Plan (PEAP) 2021–2030, approved by Provincial Executive Resolution No. 952 of 11 June 2021, the monitoring process assesses the progress and effectiveness of the actions in relation to the objectives set out in the Plan, using a suitable set of indicators, and, where necessary, proposes revisions to the Plan itself. The Environmental Report provides for two types of monitoring: biennial monitoring, involving the collection of data for key indicators (K.I. – key indicators), and four-yearly monitoring, covering all the identified indicators.
The Third Monitoring Report provided an overview of the province’s energy situation, covering energy production from renewable sources, energy consumption by sector, the quality of energy services and energy efficiency measures, thereby contributing to a comprehensive view of the energy strategies currently in place.
