Description
A new Expression of Interest is online, addressed to European Conservatoires and Music Institutes for the formation of the Erasmus Orchestra, the first orchestra formed by students who have carried out or are carrying out an Erasmus study experience.
The Erasmus Orchestra was created in 2017, on the initiative of the Erasmus+ National Agency INDIRE (Istituto Nazionale di Documentazione Innovazione e Ricerca Educativa) on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus Programme. It is a pilot project for the construction of an itinerant artistic ensemble that, thanks to the universal language of music and art, can represent in the world the value of a common European belonging, resulting in a unique symphony.
The Orchestra's value in promoting Erasmus+ opportunities for the AFAM sector has been accepted as good practice by the European Commission and other stakeholders and National Agencies of the Programme.
This prompted the Agency to further structure the initiative in an international direction, launching a new organic selection call not only for Italian Conservatoires and Music Institutes but also for all those in EU countries and countries associated to the Erasmus+ Programme.
The initiative is patronised by the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen (AEC), which has embraced the project, conferring prestige, visibility and promotion at European level.
With this new Expression of Interest, a list of suitable candidates at European level will be constituted for the formation of the Erasmus Orchestra staff, from which the Erasmus+ National Agency INDIRE will be able to draw for the production in question and subsequent productions in the two-year period 2023/2025.
The list of suitable candidates will be drawn up through the selection of applications submitted via the online form by the Conservatoires and Music Institutes, as described in the text of the call.
CANDIDACY
The application must necessarily be made by each Conservatoire/Music Institute online only, to propose up to a maximum of 5 Erasmus students, as described in the call for applications.
